Every spring, the GCRF Board travels to the leading GIST research institutions around the country to present their grant awards of money raised directly from all sources of fundraising.GCRF donates a full 100% of all money raised directly to GIST research. GCRF board members do not receive salary or any other monetary compensation from GCRF.

Each grant presentation affords anyone touched by GIST a wonderful opportunity to meet & interface with the best GIST doctors and researchers in the country, as well as with their staff and the administrators of these top ranked cancer facilities that specialize in GIST. Each of the researchers provide an educational forum as part of the grant award program. This gives an opportunity to the GIST community to receive the most up to date information on the research work being done for GIST.
